SEBASTIAN Vettel mendahului dari mula sehingga ke akhir sebelum tampil gah mengungguli Grand Prix Malaysia Petronas, semalam untuk mencatat kemenangan satu dua bagi Red Bull bersama rakan sepasukan, Mark Webber.

Nico Rosberg menceriakan hampir 100,000 penonton di Litar Antarabangsa Sepang (SIC) selepas tercicir lebih 13 saat untuk menamatkan perlumbaan Formula Satu (F1) di tempat ketiga dan meraih podium pertama pasukan Mercedes GP Petronas.

Apapun, impian ribuan peminat melihat juara dunia tujuh kali, Michael Schumacher meraih podium pertama selepas kembali dari persaraan tidak kesampaian apabila dia terkeluar di pusingan ke-11 akibat kegagalan suspensi belakang.

Dengan perlumbaan berlangsung dalam cuaca panas berbeza keadaan hujan lebat sewaktu sesi kelayakan, Vettel cemerlang apabila mendahului sejak selekoh pertama sebelum menyudahkan 56 pusingan yang mencabar itu dengan merakamkan satu jam 33 minit 48.412 saat.

Webber yang kehilangan masa ketika menukar tayar di hentian pit berkata: Apa yang penting adalah meraih kedudukan terbaik untuk kami dan pasukan.

Pasukan Lotus Racing, masih belum lagi berjaya mengatasi masalah hidraulik apabila Jarno Truli mengisi tempat tercorot, ke-17 manakala Heikki Kovalainen, sekadar menamatkan saingan apabila kedudukannya yang tertinggal 10 pusingan tidak dikira.

Naib juara di Australia minggu lalu, Robert Kubica yang memandu Renault mengisi tempat keempat diikuti pelumba Jerman, Andrian Sutil dari Pasukan Force India.

Lewis Hamilton yang bermula dari petak ke-19 cemerlang mengisi tempat keenam diikuti Felipe Massa dari Ferrari, juara Australia Jenson Button dan kesembilan Jaime Alguersuari (Str-Ferrari) dan satu mata terakhir perlumbaan milik Nico Hulkenburg (William).
